Welcome to Nutrition Services!

Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand.

The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

We will have a bag lunch pick-up available at Thomas Jefferson Middle School near the kitchen door (north side of building; signage will identify proper location).  Pick-up will take place on WEDNESDAYS between 1PM and 2pm for any family that wishes meals for the day or days their children are virtually learning.  You will not need to preorder, however will need to give student's name(s) and school(s).  First pick-up opportunity will be September 16th. Free meals have been extended until June 4th 2021
FREE lunches for ALL PWSSD students (in person or virutally)!

NOTICE: STARTING THE WEEK OF JANUARY 25th, LUNCH PICK-UP WILL STILL BE AT THOMAS JEFFERSON ON WEDNESDAYS, BUT FROM 1-2 PM.  LUNCHES WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS ON SYNCHRONOUS/VIRTUAL LEARNING ONLY

Port Washington-Saukville School District participates in The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) a federally assisted meal program operating in public schools . It provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunches to children each school day. The program was established in 1946 by President Harry Truman .
